At the top of the main entrance stairs/ramp, you will cross a bridge over a lovely brook, then follow the sidewalk to the last set of doors marked “main entrance” to enter the lobby. Take the elevator or the stairs to the 3rd floor. The corridor will lead to a set of restrooms and the shared waiting room. My office is located towards the end of the hallway on the right-hand side.
Amenities: There is a common cafeteria area on the second floor with a small kitchenette and vending machines, if you would like to grab a quick snack or a drink. If you are looking for a meal, there is a lovely cafe (Buddha Bistro) in the back of the building next to a yoga studio, and there is a popular diner (Gayle’s Farm Shoppe) a short drive or walk over to the Depot Square Mall. There are picnic tables around the grounds that you can enjoy. There is a walking trail along the brook, the Steele Brook Greenway, that can be reached by following the sidewalk to the far right of the building (going towards Depot Street).
Directions
From Route 8: Take exit 34 for State Hwy 262 toward Watertown and take a sharp left onto CT-262 (continue for 1.6 miles). Continue straight at the stoplight onto Echo Lake Rd (continue for 1.3 miles). Turn left onto Siemon Company Dr and turn left into the parking lot.
Parking: There is plenty of parking in a well-lit parking lot with security cameras. The main entrance has an accessible ramp as well as stairs.
By Bus: Bus 445 WATERTOWN AVE leaves from East Main St @ N Main St (the corner near the Plaza Apartments) at the bottom (:30) of every hour. Bus arrives at 0:47 of the hour at Main St @ Echo Lake Rd. Walk about 6 minutes (0.3 mi): head south down the hill on Echo Lake Rd, then cross the street at the corner of Siemon Company Drive to reach the building. Sidewalks to access the main entrance run along either the side or front of the building.
